Online Dating Industry took off in late 1990s and now it is one of the greatest segments of “paid content” in the internet. In 2007 online dating industry earned more than $1 billion. It is a huge amount of money.
To my mind it is quite predictable situation, because people need love. It is very profitable business to sell food in a small store. People need food to live. The same thing we see with love. It is food for our souls, I would say.
